Lárus Gudmundsson (1975) is an icelandic glass artist focusing on the art of glass.
"The human being with all it's symbolism through history is my main inspiration.
Forms of nature and the communication of the sexes often emerge as well.
My main choice of material is glass, casted, kiln formed, blown and/or formed by hand.
I seek for the materials for my work in nature, by the coasts of my cold country,
in the lava deserts and on the mountains.
The process of creating seems to me to be a form for a trance or dreaming, often stressful
but at times rewarding; but in all cases unevitable.
Everything vibrates with the tension between the form and caos."
